(written by Chris Shepherd)
I love to tell the scenario of Rob, which I am
sure many of us have experienced.
Rob prized to discover new and up & coming rock bands. I would hop in his car and he would look at the side of my head and say “who does this band sound like?” and proceed to crank up the volume, extremely loud. I would turn it down at least half way and say, “I have no idea” and he would laugh and say “listen” and then crank it back up - loud, just not as loud as before – a sort of negotiated volume and we would laugh.
When I remember “The Best of Rob” and observed that all stories and memories connected with Rob’s gift for making every person and event super special. His intensity for loud music, his longing to spend much time with family, his need to get to know his friends deeply, his desire to be a student of the markets and connect all aspects of work thoroughly and his passion to lead efforts toward his worldly causes; made “Crank It Up!” the only charge that fit Rob.
To all of his family and friends, let Rob’s life remind us to live as he lived.
Family. Friends. Music. Work.
Life is short… Crank It Up!!
Thank you Rob for everything you gave us.
We love you and miss you intensely!
